Our heroes are approaching the planet of Rampart, fleeing the forces of the Decados navy in a captured Avestite raider, the Cestus Malificus. Shaken from their recent encounters with the unknown on the drifting hulk of the Kabir, they have added to their group the crafty Hank Fetto.
