Tilan is the son of a minor noble family in the city of Procampur in the Vast. Lord Entrin has many merchant interests in the war-wracked nation of Tethyr, and travels there often. While on a trading mission with his father, their entourage was caught up in a violent uprising and separated. Mistaken for a supporter of the crown, Tilan was about to be killed when a detachment of paladins of Tyr arrived to restore order and rescued him. Taken into their company as a squire, he served with them in Tethyr before being sent to the prestigious Leghoreal Adademy for further training.
Upon graduation, Tilan received orders to travel to the remote city of Tashluta. Long known as a lawless region of Faerūn, the young paladin has been sent to augment the overstretched staff at the shrine of Anachtyr, as Tyr is called in the south. Though at first disappointed to hear of his assignment, he is determined to make the best of it.
In this tropical region he has flourished, defeating several menaces that threaten the city and its nobles. Awarded the title 'Sword of Anachtyr', he now serves as a wandering judge dispensing justice to the Realms at large.
Quotes:
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee."
"Blade with whom I have lived, blade with whom I now die, serve right and justice one last time, seek one last heart of evil, still one last life of pain, cut well old friend, and then farewell."
