Start: The town of Sandpoint, on the first evening of autumn.

Although the first group of goblins was dealt with quickly, screams and the sounds of a horrible goblin chant indicate that the threat is not over. After a few moments to regroup, the adventurers see goblins chasing townspeople through the streets, and one group seems intent on burning down the new cathedral that is about to be consecrated.

Kiria is knocked unconscious when a goblin pushes a chimney off a building onto his head, but Signore slays the goblin with an arrow before he can cause more damage. Deivon attacks the goblins trying to set the cathedral on fire, beheading several, and Gob fights for his life after coming face to face with a vicious goblin raider. Signore ends up facing a goblin warchanter and is helped out by Gob after the dwarven wizard escapes from the goblin that had him cornered. Gob also kills a few more with well-aimed crossbow bolts.

Another lull in the battle comes, and from the sounds of battle it seems that Sandpoint's town guard has mobilized and is driving off the goblin raiders. Most townspeople have fled, but a scream and the sounds of frantic barking lead the adventurers to the front of the White Deer inn. They arrive just in time to see a goblin mounted on a mangy rat-faced creature slay a hunting dog, and his raiders emerge from hiding to threaten a noble cowering behind a rain barrel.

Signore sneaks up behind another nearby rain barrel, and Deivon quickly dispatches one of the nearby goblin raiders. Gob uses the last of his spells to slay another raider, and just as it looks like the mounted goblin will kill the noble, Signore jumps out from hiding to distract his attention so the noble can flee into the inn. The enraged mounted goblin attacks Signore, wounding him badly before Deivon charges in to slay the goblin with one blow. Gob provides support with his crossbow, and between Signore and Deivon, they manage to slay the goblin dog mount. Though Deivon is bitten by the creature, he fights off the ill effects of the diseased bite. Aldern Foxglove, the rescued noble, thanks the adventurers profusely and asks to meet them at the Rusty Dragon later for a proper reward.
